Pevensey Bay, 7.0m GTX & Manta 75, pre-high tide water state was bumpy & all over the place ... for just over an hour around 'high tide' the shorebreak was less than inviting, especially with bigger kit. After tide had turned and dropped a touch, the sea flattened off (wind with tide) and went again, more powered up this time which was just as well as staying upwind / uptide needed enough power.

In short, definately enjoyed better sails, invariably when wind isn't easterly. The number of good sessions in easterly winds could probably be counted on one hand i guess ... won't stop me going out in an easterly, just in case the next one is the 'best ever'

Still lots of people talking about the Hayling bash and visibly still buzzing which was nice to see / hear Most of the crew were out on 6.5 - 7.0m, with boards from 102ltr - 140ltr ... couple of 'walk of shamers' as wind died and current took them on a conveyor belt ride westwards ... being a helpful chap, I even grabbed a spare pair of flip flops and wandered downwind to give a mate a hand back with his kit, given he is true to the barefoot tradition and found himself chatting to the kiters at Rossetti Road

Thankfully Rich then went on to give us plenty of p*ss take potential with his special hiding place for his keys backfiring somewhat, so the day provided plenty of entertainment, even if not all of it was 'windsurfing' ...

Nice to meet a few lost souls visiting from other beaches, plus our german travellers were still around today enjoying the UK sailing options ... I think they plan to head west, probably for Poole or Christchurch so make them feel welcome, they are a nice family ... they had a pale(ish)-blue camper van, citroen based I think.
